Good lashes are potentially just as important that good eyebrows; stay with me here. Imagine that you have the most perfect brow known to man; I mean perfect shape, perfect arch, and the perfect amount of brow thickness.

You’d feel hashtag blessed right?

Now imagine that right under those enviable brows, you have clumpy thin lashes. Devastating I know. I must confess, I have never touched my brows; no tweezing, threading, waxing, nothing. I just make sure the hairs are all going in the right direction and let them be. In addition to having no maintenance brows, I have naturally curly lashes. This may seem like sheer luck but honestly it’s a complete nightmare. Shopping for mascara is tricky because while there are an abundance of mascaras to make your lashes curl, there aren’t many that are just for volume and lengthening, most are that curl/lengthen combo.

No thank you.

Besides a good mascara I absolutely die for a good liquid eyeliner. I prefer to keep things simple when it comes to my makeup…most of the time. I don’t do wings, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I’ve been obsessed with NYC since high school and pretty much live for them. Imagine my delight when I received my latest VoxBox in the mail and discovered two new NYC goodies

NYC Big Bold

Big and bold?

Naturally I was intrigued.

Currently I am in a pretty serious relationship with Younique 3D fiber lashes but here’s my secret and the key to getting the most out of your 3D lashes. Always start with a good phenomenal mascara; NYC Big and Bold is that mascara. I mean I only used one coat of fiber lashes with it and just look at the results I got!

The hourglass shape of the brush works to lengthen your lashes and give you a little bit more oomph. The eyeliner wasn’t exactly my favorite thing; currently I use NYC’s plain classic liquid liner. The Big and Bold eyeliner was like a marker and really the only thing I liked about it was that I could use it to either do a thick line or a thin one all in one swipe. I think that this eyeliner would work best for someone who is a winged eyeliner master; if that happens to be you, add both of these to your makeup arsenal and then teach me your ways.

Until next time…

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
