I’m bringing back Thirsty Thursday here on the blog and I figured I’d kick things off with a throwback to one of my favorite childhood drinks, the root beer float…with a little help from my dear friend Fireball.
Meet the Fireball Float!
It’s delicious I promise.
This recipe is incredibly simple and is a fun little cocktail to bring out for a girls night in! Think movies, junk food, and Fireball Floats, perfect night right? Here’s what you need:
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Fireball Whisky
- Root Beer (I prefer A&W or Barqs)
The assembly of the creamy concoction is the same as when you were a kid; two scoops of ice cream in a tall glass followed by roughly two ounces of Fireball (give or take a shot or 4), topped with three ounces of root beer. The amount of root beer you need will depend on the size of your glass so be sure to take that into consideration!
Drinking doesn’t have to always be so serious and grown up! Get silly with your cocktails!
Growing up is overrated.
