Aloha Smoothie!

I am a smoothie addict. In fact as I sit here typing this I’m inhaling a fluffy little berry banana smoothie…It’s heavenly. The art of crafting the perfect smoothie is highly underrated; put too much in and you get a weird little flavor mash up, but not enough fruit can lead to a kind of “bleh” smoothie, and don’t even get me started on how tricky green smoothie are to make. Roughly a month ago, I decided there had to be an easier way and came across Aloha plant based proteins. About a week later, I managed to get my hands on their chocolate protein powder as well as the whole food powders in chocolate, berry blend, and of course greens.

I’m sure you’re wondering why Aloha? Well these little packets are full of nutrients; when they say “whole food” trust me…they mean whole food. Not only do they detoxify and hydrate you, but they’re also meant to energize you at the same time and they definitely do; not to mention that each packet is only 35 calories. 35 CALORIES for 14 super foods and Aloha products are always GMO/gluten/soy free, vegan, and completely all natural. I stared at these little green packets for days wondering how I could creatively integrate them into my diet without causing too much disruption. I mixed one of my green blends into water for a pre-gym sesh boost and that seemed to work out well

but I wanted more…

DUH SMOOTHIES!

I’m not a big “find a smoothie recipe and recreate it” kind of girl, I’m more of a “let’s throw things into my Ninja blender and see what tastes good” kind of girl so I got to work with the greens again, then the chocolate, and this morning the berry blend.

It was very yum.

On Wednesday, I drank my greens in this delicious Green smoothie.

  • 1 packet of Aloha Daily Good Greens Whole Food Powder
  • 1/2 tbs. of peanut butter
  • 1 apple (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup of orange juice
  • 1/4 cup of Light Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1/4 cup of cranberry juice
  • 1/4 cup of pomegranate juice
  • Ice

Blend until smooth!

On Thursday I needed a bit of a jolt but I still wanted my Aloha smoothie!

Then it hit me…
