Wear Green, Save Green, Drink Green.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Green is one of my favorite colors, the other obviously being pink, which OF COURSE makes March 17th one of my favorite days. One could also say that my several years long love affair with all things whiskey might also explain my adoration for St. Patricks Day but what’s not to love about St. Pats?! There’s green food, green booze, everyone is happy most of the time and you get to look adorable!

Speaking of adorable…

The Flaunt Shop has tons of green, including the shirt I’m wearing!

Now let’s drink a little green, green smoothies that is.

I live for a good green smoothie and like I’ve said in past smoothie posts, I’m not really a precise measurer when it comes to whipping up smoothies. Why? Because how much of each ingredient you use determines how large your smoothie will be. There are a few ingredients I do measure mainly because too much will effect the taste and we don’t want that. Grab a pen and paper. There’s quite a few.

Mint Chocolate Chip Green Smoothie

  • Spinach
  • 1 tsp of avocado
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • One packet of Splenda
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil
  • One whole banana
  • 1 tbs of peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • Ice
  • Several fresh mint leaves
  • One packet of dark chocolate hot cocoa mix

Berry Banana Green Smoothie

  • Spinach
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • One whole banana
  • 1 tbs of peanut butter
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • Ice

The Java Jumpstart

  • Fresh brewed coffee
  • Spinach
  • 1/4 cup of almond milk
  • 1 tbs of peanut butter
  • Sliced strawberries
  • One whole banana
  • 1 tsp of coconut oil
  • Ice

The Basic Kale Smoothie

  • Kale
  • Sliced strawberries
  • One whole banana
  • 1 tbs of peanut butter
  • Ice
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk

These are all delicious, trust me. I wouldn’t ever post something that was gross. EVER.

Until next time

XO
